A word with Ladislav Belanc, Head of EAM Department

You are one of the key people in the INSEKO team. Since when have you been part of it?

I joined in 2005, so it will have been two decades

What is your agenda?

From 2021 I will lead the EAM department responsible for the implementation of maintenance management systems. I am responsible for the running of the entire department, but I also participate in projects as a consultant and solution architect.

What do you personally enjoy most about your work?

By leading the department but also being involved in customer projects, it is the variety of work that I enjoy the most. I meet a lot of customers who are solving different problems. For us, this always means a different assignment to which we have to find a solution. However, I am happy to apply the experience I have gained in other new projects.

And what do you appreciate most about your colleagues?

Reliability and creativity are priceless.

Can you find time for yourself in the busy world of work? What do you do when you are not working?

I spend my free time mostly with my family. My family is my support and source of life energy. If there is time, I like to travel and explore new places. Occasionally there is time for a good book.

How do you imagine an ideal holiday?

It would be anywhere where there are fewer people, more silence, beautiful scenery and time to explore.

Is there a food you will never say no to?

I can’t resist an Old Bohemian kulajda under any circumstances.

Which film have you seen more than once and would happily watch it again?

I like to watch movies with Robert Redford, like The Horse Whisperer

Do you have a favourite book that inspired you?

Not just one. I like educational and biographical books about scientists.
