Digital maintenance at Košice Airport: from vision to reality

Košice Airport took an important step towards modern operations in 2025.

Maintenance, which previously relied on paper logs and manual processes, is now fully digitalized. The new system is successfully launched and is in production.

From paper to digital

The aim of the project was to take airport maintenance to a new level. Classic paper operation logs have been replaced by electronic records. Technicians now plan and carry out maintenance directly via computer or mobile devices. Tasks, VTZ equipment revisions, operational maintenance or fault reports – everything is available in digital form.

Maintenance under control – from firefighters to IT

The digital solution covers all three key areas: fire department, airport technology and IT. IT managers have clear dashboards on the status of equipment and their inspections, warehouse management is gradually being digitized and mobile devices bring all information to technicians directly to the field.

Prepared for audits and the future

Digitalization is not just about simplifying everyday work – it is also about safety and reliability. The modern system helps Košice Airport seamlessly handle strict audits and prepares it for further challenges associated with the growth of air traffic.

“Our goal was to make maintenance work quickly, reliably and without unnecessary administration. Today, Košice Airport has a modern tool in its hands that significantly simplifies their daily processes and at the same time prepares them for any external inspections,” says Róbert Hajduk, project manager from INSEKO.

The digital journey continues

Košice Airport has taken a significant step towards digitalization, but the common journey does not end there. The next phases of the project will bring even deeper system integration and new possibilities for the efficient and safe operation of the airport.

“We at INSEKO are proud to stand by this transformation and bring solutions that combine innovation with everyday practice,” adds Martin Bukovinský, CEO of the company.
