TIMM Slovakia combines traditional production with state-of-the-art technologies

TIMM Slovakia s.r.o. is one of the world's leaders in the production of high-quality ropes and in the supply of specific solutions for a wide range of industries.

Their passion for innovation was born in the 18th century, at a time when maritime exploration and trade were booming. Since 1772, when the company was founded, they pride themselves on setting the direction for the entire industry – and not just those who blindly follow others.

Today, TIMM Slovakia has already implemented PMT for 15 machines in its production portfolio. They actively use modules such as Workplace Takeover, Autonomous Maintenance or Orders. Management places great emphasis on the visualization of production data. The company was among the first pioneers in the implementation of LCD visualizations and is also one of the first INSEKO’s customers to deploy the Digital Shop Floor Management module – known simply as Dashboards.

By connecting the PM TOOLKIT to the K2 ERP system, TIMM obtains important data in real time. Work is underway to expand the interface with additional information that will further speed up and streamline entire production processes.

The specificity of the solution for TIMM Slovakia is an accurate measurement of rope production speed. If the speed exceeds technological standards, ropes with substandard characteristics could be produced.

The digitalization also included the implementation of the HEXAGON EAM system with the iWi mobile addon. Repair requests arise directly in the PMT environment, with maintenance workers receiving tasks via the HEXAGON EAM/iWi system. On their mobile devices, they have an overview of all requirements, the current status of spare parts and their own performance – they can monitor work procedures, record the consumption of parts and record the time of repair work. All faults and downtimes are thus clearly documented and verified by the maintenance department, eliminating misunderstandings between production and maintenance departments.

Thanks to modern technologies, TIMM Slovakia seamlessly connect centuries-old tradition with innovation, thus ensuring stable and reliable production according to strict standards. They combine experience, knowledge and digital solutions to strengthen their position as an industry leader and respond flexibly to the changing demands of the global market.
