Since when do you work at Inseko?
I have been working at INSEKO a.s. since 2011.
What position did you start in, what position are you in now?
The starting position was a salesman, a classic sales manager.
After about 3 years I managed to start the business activities so much that I was promoted to the position of Sales Director and together with the team we gradually acquired new acquisitions – our current satisfied partners, customers.
In 2022, after the shift of the long-standing director, who was Ing. Peter Herman, towards strategic customers, I took over the leadership of the company and work as Managing Director.
What does your normal working day look like?
I usually arrive at work after 8:00 am, unless I’m on a business trip.
The agenda is really interesting, from dealing with personnel issues, to approving internal documents, drafting new contracts, having telephone discussions with customers, to dealing with proposals to finalize prepared quotations.
As I mentioned, I have a lot of different meetings, mainly with customers, current or potential, at the headquarters, at the headquarters in Žilina, but mostly all over “Czechoslovakia”, and also with partners, who are an integral part of our business.
I’ll keep it short, it’s really varied, I’ll just stop for a good lunch.
What do you appreciate most about your colleagues, about the company?
Most of all, I value honesty, perseverance and responsibility.
How do you like to relax?
What are your hobbies?
The best way to relax is listening to good music at home with my family, at concerts, in the garden doing “housework” or just meeting friends for a beer or cheering on our junior handball team.
Hobbies are mainly sports (football, tennis, table tennis, cycling).
The biggest hobby is collecting LP records.
Favourite food?
I love all food, especially food that doesn’t eat me 😊, but especially grilled meat.
A dream destination you would like to visit?
I like to travel when there is time and leftover crowns, and at least once I would like to experience a typical exotic destination like Zanzibar.
Favourite book or film that was an inspiration for you?
I love reading biographies, the last one that caught my attention was a book about the life of Matthew Perry – the famous Chandler Muriel Bing from the Friends series, it was a real “blast”.
I have two favourite films that I have seen perhaps 20 times, if not more: The Shawshank Redemption and, of course, Forrest Gump.
